PROGRAM SUBSIDIES

Every AVSC program is meaningfully subsidized thanks to the generosity of donors who believe in making snow sports accessible to all local youth. The true cost of delivering top-tier coaching, facilities, and support far exceeds the program fees we ask families to contribute.

If you’re in a position to do so, we invite you to make a tax-deductible gift to help bridge the gap between the actual cost of our programs and what families pay. Your support ensures every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive on the mountain.

If you feel especially inspired to champion this mission, we’d be grateful for the chance to connect one-on-one. Please email us at afarrington@teamavsc.org to start the conversation.

PASSES

Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) Ski Passes are not included in the program fees. Athletes must be enrolled in an AVSC program before purchasing a pass. Upon completing your online registration, you will receive an email confirmation from AVSC. Bring the confirmation email and your child to any open ASC ticket office beginning in August to complete your pass purchase. Early bird pricing on ASC passes typically ends in mid-November. More info here

PARENT WORK DEPOSITS

Parent Work Deposits (PWD) are part of all Team programs and must be paid at registration. The PWD program is designed to engage our parents in what we do and give them a chance to interact with our staff and athletes. Parents who work off their PWD are reimbursed up to 100% of the deposit at $30/hour. The AVSC Office Manager will track all hours. Reimbursements will be applied to athletes’ Campminder accounts on August 1st, 2026.

DEPOSITS

Deposits: A $100 - $600 deposit (dependent on the program) will be required at registration for all participants applying for a scholarship or requesting a payment plan. If you are experiencing financial hardship and plan to apply for a scholarship but cannot afford the deposit, please get in touch with scholarships@teamavsc.org.

PAYMENT PLANS

Fee payment/payment plans: Team program fees must be paid in full before the first training day, or a payment plan must be established. Payment plan installments will begin the first day of the month following your registration and end on February 1st, 2025. Any deposits made will be applied against your balance due, and the installments will be spread equally through February 1st. A $50.00 processing fee (per family) will be applied in January to all payment plans (including those awarded scholarships). Scholarships will be credited to your account when awarded.

Athlete Accounts: All AVSC Team participants must have a credit/debit card or eCheck on file. No exceptions. Incidental travel charges will be charged per AVSC policy.

Declined Payments: A $25 fee will be assessed for any declined payment transaction. Your child’s participation may be suspended for unpaid program fees or trip balances.

Athletes new to AVSC may be granted early season pricing past the deadline (at the discretion of their Program Director). Program fees will be determined based on the following: Before January 15th - total early season price; on or after January 15th - 25% discount on early season pricing.

Program Fees: AVSC Program Fees include only regular season on-snow training at Aspen Snowmass resorts and regular season strength and conditioning in the Roaring Fork Valley as listed in program descriptions. AVSC Program Fees exclude all other fees and charges, such as but not limited to the following: early season and late season training for certain programs, transportation fees and charges, all camps, all ski passes and lift tickets at all mountains, all competition entry fees, all travel, room and board charges, all governing body and association fees, all coach expenses during travel, all van and all team jackets and apparel, unless otherwise noted.

REFUND POLICY

TEAM Refund Policy: 100% Refunds are permitted before the program start date. Once the program start date has passed, refunds are only available for documented medical reasons that result in a season-ending injury. Refunds are determined by the following: Before January 1 - 50%; between January 1 and February 1 - 25%; after February 1 - No Refund. This season-ending injury refund assumes complete withdrawal from all AVSC programming, including Strength & Conditioning or athletic training services.   All refunds are subject to a $100 processing fee.

Aspen Supports Kids (ASK) Refund Policy: 100% Refunds are permitted before December 1, 2025.  After December 1, 2025, refunds are only available for documented medical reasons that result in season-ending injury and will be prorated based on the number of days missed. Any season pass discounted through enrollment in AVSC will be voided upon withdrawal. All refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee.

PARTICIPATION

Participation: AVSC reserves the right to dismiss, suspend or expel athletes who do not follow the AVSC athlete code of conduct, who cause disruptions, or who create an atmosphere that is not conducive to learning. Program fees will not be refunded; any outstanding payments will be the family's responsibility. AVSC also reserves the right to deny an athlete's ability to participate in a particular program if they lack technical, physical, or emotional skills.   In these cases, AVSC will attempt to find the athlete an appropriate program.  If this is not possible, program fees will be returned in full.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:  At Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club (AVSC), we are deeply committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all of our athletes and members of our community. We believe that the strength of our organization lies in the unique perspectives, backgrounds, and abilities of our participants, staff, and partners. We work with local experts to ensure that children with special and specific needs are not only able to participate in our programs with proper resources and support, but that they have the opportunity to foster a passion for the outdoors in a group of their peers.
