The Owl Creek Chase is a beloved Nordic ski race that traditionally connects the Snowmass and Aspen communities via scenic and challenging ski traverses. With its traditional 25k route and deep connection to the Nordic community, this race holds a special place in the hearts of racers and locals alike.

New this year! The Owl Creek Chase Race includes a $5,000 cash purse, which will be distributed for the timed 25km race for each gender as follows:
1st Place: $1,000
2nd Place: $600
3rd Place: $400
4th Place: $250
5th Place: $150
6th Place: $100

Owl Creek Chase (timed 25km)*

A 25.1K point-to-point freestyle mass start race beginning in Snowmass and ending at the AVSC Clubhouse.

• Junior Fees: $50 early bird pricing for Juniors. Prices go $10 up on 12/10 and $10 1/3.
• Senior Fees: $60 early bird pricing for Seniors. Prices go $10 up on 12/10 and $10 1/3.

Owl Creek Tour (untimed point-to-point tour)*

A 15Km point-to-point freestyle mass start tour beginning in Snowmass and ending at the AVSC Clubhouse. Race against your own clock or meander along this beautiful course from Snowmass to the AVSC Clubhouse.

• Junior Fees: $30 early bird pricing for Juniors. Prices go $10 up on 12/10 and $10 1/3.
• Senior Fees: $40 early bird pricing for Seniors. Prices go $10 up on 12/10 and $10 1/3.

Owlet (1km) At the AVSC Clubhouse

• Junior Fees: $15 per registrant.

Parking
Parking is limited at the Snowmass Recreation Center and at AVSC. We encourage participants to be prepared and use RFTA public bus system for transportation. A bag drop will be available to transport gear from the start to the finish.

* If for some reason the Point-to-Point course is not available (due to snow or moose in the area, etc!), a Plan B course will be released to ensure a race does happen.
