"I am now moving on to the next step with the U.S. Ski Team full of good memories and experiences from AVSC. If it were not for the help of AVSC and all of its supporters, there isn't a chance that I would be here now."
- new U.S. Ski Team member and AVSC alpine ski racer Wiley Maple
Attention Team Parents: Are you looking to work off some volunteer work deposit hours? AVSC needs volunteers for the Alpine Nor Am races and U.S. National Championship Downhill on Aspen Mountain. Please contact Marlene Mickey at marvmmATsopris.net (replace AT with @) or call her at (970) 544-6252. All help is welcome!
Are you visiting teamavsc.org? If not please bookmark and use teamavsc.org as our new address - especially if you're registering online! We believe that every child in the valley should have the opportunity to ski or snowboard. Moreover, competitive athletes should have the chance to realize their full potential. No athlete should have to leave the Roaring Fork Valley to find the training and facilitites they need. As the valley's oldest non profit youth organization, AVSC has helped generations of local children experience the mountains in winter. AVSC reaches 1,900 youth, of which over 300 are from Latino households. Each year the Club awards more than $700,000 in program subsidies and scholarships.
