Welcome to the 2011 Ajax Cup! On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to thank you for your interest in purchasing a team to compete in the Ajax Cup. We are so elated with the success of the inaugural Ajax Cup last year that we can't stop talking about ideas for next year. Below are some facts that may be useful for you about last year's event. The 2010 Ajax Cup was a sold out event, followed by a fantastic Apres ski party that was the party of the holiday season. The party was covered with a spectacular segment on Entertainment Tonight, an episode of the Doctors, and coverage in the Boston Herald, Aspen Buzz, and the Huffington Post, and that was our opening year. The event goes well beyond Olympic competitors, celebrity-hosted Apres ski parties and an epic race challenge. Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club is celebrating its 75th year as the largest and oldest youth non-profit in the Roaring Fork Valley. Our tradition is developing great athletes and even better people. By competing in the Ajax Cup you enable us to help our 2,000 athletes achieve their dreams. This is your chance to train with world-class athletes, compete with AVSC's adaptive team, race with your friends and celebrate with the party of the year. Through it all, you are guaranteed to be an integral part of one of our community's most important traditions: giving all local athletes the chance to grow as athletes and people through winter sports.
