| AVSC Freestyle Director Eric Knight |
| The 2009-2010 season will mark Eric's 12th season coaching and 9th year as AVSC Freestyle Director. Under Eric's leadership, the Freestyle Team has tripled in size and won National Junior Championships in moguls and aerials. AVSC freestyle also boasts Domestic Coach of the Year Elana Chase and World Cup Halfpipe Champion Jen Hudak. Eric was the 1995 British National Mogul Champion and a member of the British Freestyle Team from 1995 to 1998. He has competed in Nor-Am, Europa Cup, World Cup and World Pro Mogul events around the world and brings his knowledge and experience from the highest levels of freestyle skiing to AVSC. |
| AVSC Freestyle Coach Geoff Stump |
| Geoff is in his 7th season at AVSC and brings over 20 years of experience to his job. A former member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team, Geoff is a Level 3 certified aerials coach and was named AVSC's Coach of the Year in 2004. In 2001-02 Geoff served as a technical advisor to the USSA's Event Operations. He attended the University of Southern Maine and a celebrated videographer known for his camera work on legendary Greg Stump ski films including Blizzard of Ahhs, Maltese Flamingo and many more. Geoff owns his own film and video company, Stumpfilms, and lives in Basalt with his family. Geoff is a connisseur of reggae music and enjoys hiking, biking, camping and fishing with his children.

| Elana Chase is in her sixth year with AVSC Freestyle and Freeride. She was previously head coach at Okemo Mountain School in Vermont before coming to the Roaring Fork Valley. Elana has been involved with freestyle/freeride for almost twenty years. She has several certifications, awards and champion skiers to represent her efforts. Most recently she won USSA Freestyle coach of the year 2008 and one of her premier athletes and AVSC team members, Jen Hudak, won FIS World Cup Finals at Valcomenco, Italy 2008. In 2009 the AVSC Freeride Team had a record of 5 XGames athletes. Elana likes to stay involved on all levels and is also on two subcommittees at USSA; the Freestyle Development Committee and Ski Halfpipe Working Group |
| AVSC Freestyle Devo Head Coach Lynn Merriam |
| Lynn has been coaching professionally for 13 years, seven of them with AVSC. Lynn is a native Mainer who grew up skiing the East and has a BS in Business Management with a minor in Sports Management from Springfield College. Lynn did an internship with the U.S. Ski Team and was named AVSC Gale Spence Award 2003. She is a USSA-certified judge and served as a judge at the 1998 and 1999 X-Games. Lynn likes hunting birds, polo and boating... and we love her dog Blanca! |
| AVSC Freestyle Devo Coach Richard Mendoza |
| Richard is in his seventh year as a freestyle coach at AVSC on the weekends working with our 8-12 year old Devo skiers. He is an account representative with the Aspen Times during the week. Richard attended the University of New Mexico and was a Division 1-A track athlete and Junior Olympian. He enjoys soccer, running, skiing and cooking. |

| Aaron has been coaching freestyle skiing for nine years and is a graduate of both Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont and the University of Colorado. Aaron comes from both a racing and freestyle background and loves his sponsors including Rossignol, Fate and Zen Hats. Aaron also has a really cute daughter named Zea. |
