The Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club has been teaching winter sports ever since the Club was founded in 1937. As the valley's oldest and largest youth non-profit, AVSC has taught generations of local children the very sports that revitalized the Aspen/Snowmass area. AVSC reaches almost 2,000 children per season, over 300 of them from Latino households and we are proud of the diversity of our participants and success they've had in winter sports. Through AVSC, children and teens experience the mountains in winter, build character, challenge themselves and make new friends. Our motto is great athletes, great kids. ![]() Mission Statement The mission of the Aspen Valley Ski/Snowboard Club is to provide all youth in the greater Roaring Fork Valley the opportunity to develop as athletes and as people through winter sports. We believe in opportunity, excellence and values. Vision AVSC envisions a thriving, healthy society nurtured by a balance between the individual, the community and the natural environment.
Volunteers AVSC could not function without the valuable support of our dedicated volunteers. They fulfill the mission of our organization and we thank them for their efforts. Volunteers are needed and welcomed for all programs this coming year. Please call Madeleine Hawken at 205-5160 to help out with Base Camp or Trish Shepard at 205-5101 to volunteer for all Club activities. We Need Your Financial Support! As a private non-profit organization we depend on the support of individual donors to accomplish our mission since our program fees cover just over half of our costs. Your tax-deductible contributions will help to insure that AVSC programs continue to reach Roaring Fork Valley youth for this generation and the next. AVSC is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. |
